Ms. codex. Title from leaf 1a. Physical description: 21 lines per page, in two columns; written in nastaʻliq in black on glazed, laid European paper. Catchwords. Extensive damp staining, particularly toward end of manuscript; some paper repairs. Decoration: On leaf 1b, large, intricately illuminated ʻunwān in gold and color, with basmalah in red set within a gold lozenge; text framed in blue, red and gold, columns and lines framed in red and gold, and empty spaces filled with gold arabesque on dark blue ground. On leaves 2a-8b, text framed in blue, red, and gold, and empty spaces framed in gold. Origin: Likely early 19th century. Acquired from Widgery, Cambridge, 1925.
