Physical description: 21 lines per page, in 1-4 columns; written in nastaʻliq in black on glazed, laid European paper. Rubrication and catchwords. Some staining and smudging; ragged leaves at beginning and end of ms. Lower half of inner margin of first folio torn away, resulting in some loss of text. Fol. 1, 99-100 detached, with torn margins. On fol. 1a, the date 1854 is noted in Western numerals and is accompanied by a faded note in French. On fol. 100a, owner's note of Āqā Muḥammad Ṣādiq dated Muḥarram 1283 H [May-June 1866]. On fol. 100b, the date 18 Jumādá I 1209 [11 December 1794] is noted.
