Ms. composite codex. Title from fol. 1b. Text 2 has a table of contents on fol. 52a, and has some marginal annotations throughout. Layout: 7-17 lines per page in two columns ; first text is written diagonally ; frame-ruled in gold (first text and opening spread of second) or red. Description: Rubricated ; written in nastaʻlīq and general scripts. Catchwords on the verso of each leaf. Glazed paper with visible chain lines, different for the two texts, with several olive colored leaves in text 1. Decoration: Illuminated head piece (ʻunwān) on fol. 1b, beautifully executed in gold leaf with blue, orange, black and white watercolors. Origin: Text 1 is dated last 10 days of Ramaḍan 932 (1526) -- colophon (fol. 52b). Originally acquired by Robert Garrett from Abraham Shalom Yahuda ; 1942.
