Title devised by cataloger. Elaborate, illuminated initial D on recto begins both the word Deus and Dominae. Borders of leaves and flowers, including Marian flowers violets and strawberries. Both shiny and matte gold leaf used. Recto and verso may have been created by different illuminators. Likely the first pages of the None, the sixth canonical hour in a Book of Hours. Text on recto, continuing to verso: "Deus, in adjutorium meum intende. Domine, ad adiuvandum me fe[stina]." Text on verso includes Psalm 69. 15 ruled lines of text on verso. Recto 19 x 13 cm visible through matte; verso 13 x 10 cm visible through matte. The infant Jesus is indistinct in the illumination, perhaps due to devotional touching or application of holy water. Note small water stain above the figure.
