- Written in sepia and red ink in two to three distinct hands in a Gothic script, in double columns, on both sides of leaves. First two folios are parchment, the rest is paper. Illuminated initials in red or purple ink, some with alternating purple or red ink decorative scrolls, which do not appear in all chapters although space has been left for them. Rubricated in red ink throughout. Pauses...
Friction caused by rubbing has damaged ff. 1r and 2v, affecting legibility of the text. Numerous reparations to the leaves throughout. Fol. 3 is torn on the right margin and is suffering from deterioration. Likewise, many of the final folios (328-340) have been cut and/or torn and are deteriorating, leaving some with only fragments of legible text. F. 244 is loose from the binding.
Bound in 18th-cent. calf and marbled paper boards, spine gilt, green morocco spine label: Cronica general. Edges stained red.
