Schneyer attributes the text to Thomas de Lisle, O.P., archbishop of Ely 1345, d. 1361; others have attributed it to Thomas Brito, Guibert de Tournai, or Thomas Lyld Layout: 2 columns of 40-42 lines ruled in lead and ink; layout changes on f. 92v; some prickings visible s. XIV Script: Gothic Bookplate on inside front cover: "Marbury Hall. Arthur Hugh Smith Barry" with arms (Burke's Landed Gentry identifies as Smith-Barry, b.1843)
