Collation: Parchment, fol. i (paper) + 56 + ii (paper); 18 2-96; no catchwords or signatures; foliated in modern pencil; errors in foliation: 44-56 numbered 45-57.
Layout: Up to 29 long lines (justification 105 x 170 mm.), frame ruled in light red ink.
Script: Written in a bâtarde with calligraphic features by one hand in brown ink.
Decoration: Space left for decorated initials with guide letters traced in ink.
Binding: 18th cent. polished light brown calf, back sewn on 5 raised thongs, title labels in red and green morocco, gilt spine, gilt frame on boards composed of a triple gold fillet, edges gilt (a few scratches to boards). Title on spine: Amours de Leriano.
Origin: Although it is not proven that the manuscript originated in the circle of the court of Francis I, it is accepted that all known manuscripts are datable between 1522 and 1526.
