Collation: Parchment, iii (paper) + 42 + iii (paper); 1-48 56 66( -2); catchwords at end of each quire.
Layout: 18 lines per page; most pages frame-ruled in ink with double horizontal lines extending across page at top and bottom of written space; vertical outer lines also extend full length of page. Folia at end and beginning of each quire (cf. fol. 8v-9r) have additional (unused) ruling at upper and lower borders and at sides. Prickings visible.
Script: Gothic script, with marginal notes in a later hand in semi-gothic cursive (cf. fol. 33r).
Decoration: Full floral border on all sides of text on fol. 1r with red and blue flowers, birds, and fruit. Primary initials (2-3 lines) in orange and red with green in-filling on gold ground with floral and gold flourishes; red initials with gold infilling and flourishes. 2-line initials in red or purple with gold, blue, and green in-filling and pen flourishes. Incipits and headings in red.
Binding: Limp vellum. Quires attached to spine with 2 thongs laced in.
Origin: Produced in Italy in the 15th cent.
