Collation: Parchment, fol. i +170 (foliated beginning with flyleaf, folio after 133 unnumbered, fol. 170 is pastedown); 1-1710; catchwords; first half of each quire signed on right lower corner a1-6-r1-6, most cropped.
Layout: 38 long lines; vertical rules full length in lead, horizontal in ink.
Script: Written by one hand in a humanistic cursive script of 2 sizes: larger size for text, smaller for commentary.
Decoration: Numerous geometrical figures in margins; 15 initials in gold on painted bases in combinations of blue, red and green; first initial with a floral blue and foliate border along upper and left margins; 2-line initials in blue; titles, paragraph marks and running headlines in red.
Binding: Contemporary blind-stamped brown leather "cable binding" over wooden boards, traces of 2 clasps on fore-edge
