Collation: Parchment, fol. i (paper) + 50 (numbered to 49, fol. 2 is not counted) + i (paper); 1-68 + 2 leaves of a following quire (not a bifolium); catchwords in lower right margin.
Layout: 19 long lines ruled in lead with prick marks visible in upper and lower margins.
Script: Written in round gothic book hand (marginal and interlinear gloss in a smaller, less formal hand, but probably by the same scribe).
Decoration: 2-line simple red initial on fol. 1, thereafter space reserved but often not completed; versals and paragraph marks sometimes slashed in red; rubrics and some finding notes in red; pointing hands and brackets throughout.
Binding: 19th cent. half-backed morocco over pasteboards. Binder: Charles Lewis.
Origin: Written in Italy during the first half of the 14th cent., judging by the orthography of the upper and lower texts.
