Identified by Francisco Bautista Pérez based on Gregorio de Andrés' "Los manuscritos del Inquisidor General, Diego de Arce y Reinoso, obispo de Plasencia," published in Hispania sacra, 33:68 (1981): 491-507, as previously in the collection of Diego de Arce y Reinoso, bishop of Plasencia, before being purchased by Diego de Silva for Fernán Núñez, most likely Francisco Gutiérrez de los Ríos... Ms. codex. Title transcribed from caption on leaf 1r: Incipit cronica aBeato Ysidoro Iuniore Hispalensi episcopo edita. "Cronica" emended to "cronicon" by a later hand. Collation: Paper (watermark: crown, not in Heawood), fol. ii + 67 + i. Further collation impractical due to tightness of the binding. Script: Title page and headings written in humanist bookhand and very late littera textualis; most of the text is written in italic.
