Fol. 1r: Ex lib. Sanctij Hurtado de la Puente in Hispalen. conuen. VIII. VIRI stiltibus iudicandis. Written in black/brownish ink in a humanistic script. Text on both sides of leaves. A careless copy of a version of Cristóbal de Mieres dated 16 April 1492, with numerous marginalia, cross-outs, corrigenda, and additions. Ff. [184-189] contain tables listing the books and chapter titles. Following the tables is a series of notes on the text, written in two distinct hands. Bound in quarter 18th cent. calf and marbled paper boards, spine gilt; spine label wanting, spine title still visible: "Sumario de historia." Illustrations: title within painted ornamental border of gray and ochre tones, with two female torsos with wings on either side; f. 1v: pen-and-ink drawings of two vases with flowers, decorated with floral motifs and geometrical constructions, and a face with wings added in pencil; f. 183v: pen-and-ink drawing of a crown, plume, sword, and two birds perched on branches, along with a right hand... Watermark: Rounded figure with inscribed decoration. Original shelfmark: C27-c6. Part of: Fernán Núñez collection.
