Layout: Fol. 1r-458v: 2 columns, 44-47 lines, ruled in ink. Fol. 459r-493r: 3 columns (written space 116 x 84 mm.), 46 lines, ruled in ink with double margins for capitals. Prickings visible.
Script: Gothic in at least 3 hands.
Decoration: 64 large painted initials, some extending full length of page, in blue and red, with grotesques. Page titles, chapter numerals and 5- and 2-line initials in red and blue with pen line ornamentation.
Binding: Modern olive morocco binding with gilt tooling by Waters Newcastle. Title on spine: "Biblia Latina."
Accompanying materials: Three letters of the medievalist Christopher Wordsworth to John Meade Falkner (10 Feb., 24 Feb., and 12 Apr. 1916) concerning the epigrams of the 15th century bishops of Salisbury on fol. 500r. Also two photographs, and one sheet of transcriptions of fol. 500r.
Origin: Produced in England, perhaps Reading (see letter of S. Sussman, 9 July 1963, who suggests 14th century date). Epigrams on fol. 500r produced in 15th century.

Incipit liber Geneseos."
