Collation: Parchment; fol. i + 21 + i; 14 26 32 48(+1); catchwords at bottom verso of last leaf of fol. 1-12.
Layout: 22 lines of text and 43 lines of gloss per page for both codices; frame ruled in lead; fol. 1-12 have 2 sets of double lines in center to separate text from gloss; fol. 13-21 have 2 sets of double lines to separate text from gloss; prickings visible on fol. 13-21.
Script: Gothic; fol. 1r-12v written in a careful vertical gothic hand; fol. 13r-21v in a more rounded gothic script.
Decoration: 8-line initial in red and blue with pen flourishes on fol. 1r. Initials on fol. 13-21 have elaborate pen flourishes. Throughout both codices, 1-line initials and paragraph marks alternating in red and blue.
Binding: Bound in pasteboards with paper cover.
Origin: Fol. 1-12 produced in northern France at end of 12th cent. Fol. 13-21 produced in 2nd quarter of 13th cent., also in northern France.
