Collation: Parchment, fol. i + 113; 16 2-38 481 5-98 10-1310 1421; quires signed 1-8.
Layout: 30 long lines ruled in dry point with double vertical and horizontal bounding lines.
Script: Written in gothic minuscule in one hand.
Decoration: 2 large initials formed of biting animals and interlace on yellow wash and rust ground; initials alternating red and blue with penwork in other colors, occasionally with sprays into lower margins of both colors; marginal finding notes decorated in red and blue.
Binding: 17th cent. sheepskin.
Origin: Possibly made at the Cistercian monastery of S. Maria di Morimondo, founded Nov. 10, 1134, Diocese of Milan, from whose library it comes, or somewhere in south eastern France. Work has been erroneously attributed to Hugh of St. Victor.
