Collation: Paper, fol. 50 (contemporary foliation beginning at 42); one gathering, stitching visible between fol. 25 and fol. 26.
Layout: Written in 38 long lines.
Script: Written in a notarial script by one hand.
Decoration: Large coat of arms and two armorial devices painted on original cover, some flourished capitals within text.
Binding: Manuscript, complete with original vellum covers, bound inside modern imitation leather cover.
Origin: This particular section of this cartulary was written in Florence, Italy, between the 10th and 23rd October 1442 as evidenced by dates of entries. See summary note.
