Collation: Paper and parchment (outer- and innermost conjoint leaves of each quire are parchment), fol. 158 (last 2 blank); 1-312 412 ( -1) 512 6-710 812 910 1012 ( -1) 11-1312 1410 ; catchwords.
Layout: 24-27 long lines; frame ruled in lead.
Script: Written in humanistic miniscule by Pando Mattei (fol. 156v).
Decoration: 2- to 4-line initials in red; headings in red; 1-line initials within text touched in red.
Binding: 18th cent. tooled brown leather.
Origin: Probably written in northern Italy (Milan?). According to colophon (fol. 156v), completed "die tertia Iunii 1443 et ea hora seu die qua nobilis vir Virgilius de Mediolano desponsavit nobilem dominam Nicolosam de Gozzanibus": possibly, therefore, written in honor of a marriage.
