Collation: Beginning with fol. 1: 112 (+13, ruled but blank) 2-58 68 ( -1, 2 before fol. 46) 7-108 114 (fol. 84-87; text is complete) 12-148 154 (fol. 112-115; text is complete) 16-208 216 ( -6); catchwords in script of text horizontally in inner margin, visible mainly in first quires.
Layout: 16 long lines ruled in pale red ink.
Script: Written in bâtarde script in 2 sizes according to liturgical function.
Decoration: 9 full-page miniatures, in the style of Maître François, with full borders; c-shaped borders with gold on opening leaves of offices; 3-line initials on squared gold round with infilling of trilobe leaves; 2- and 1-line initials in gold; jigsaw line-fillers in blue and gold, or occasionally as a single flower.
Binding: 18th cent. dull red straight grain morocco; "L'office de l'eglise" stamped in gold on spine.
Written in France during the fourth quarter of the 15th cent., possibly for a woman of the Talaru family of Forez, near Lyon.
