Collation: Paper, i + 295 (modern foliation in pencil to fol. 20; thereafter, every fifth fol.) + i; 1-1512 1612 (+3); catchwords at end of each quire; quires signed i-xvi.
Layout: 2 columns of 40 lines, vertical bounding lines ruled in lead; prickings visible.
Script: Written in a secretary script by one hand.
Decoration: 2- to 6-line initials in red, some with void design; paragraph marks, underlining in red; initials within text slashed with red; chapter titles in gothic display script.
Binding: Bound in light gray morocco over wooden boards, elaborately tooled with flora and fauna design; 5 raised bands; contiguous endsheet and pastedown.
Origin: Unknown origin, possibly French judging from script; modern note on fol. 1r: "Scriptus est hic liber circa anno 1423 ut patet in fini tome tertii."
