Manuscript codex
Collation: iv (modern paper, i is pastedown, ii and iii are adhered to each other) + 11 (parchment) + liv (modern paper, lii and liii are adhered to each other, liv is pastedown): 1¹⁰ + 1 leaf after 9. Folio 8bis[bis] is a parchment slip sewn on the inner margin of folio [8bis]v.
Foliation: Modern foliation in pencil in upper right corner, skipping one folio after 8 (1-8, [8bis], 8bis[bis], 9).
Layout: Written in 22-30 long lines, above top line. Ruled in lead and ink, partly with full-length vertical bounding lines. Pricking marks visible on fore-edge margins.
Script: Written by at least three hands in Praegothica (hand 1: folio 1v; hand 2: folios 2r-[8bis]v; hand 3: folios [8bis]v-9v).
Decoration: 2-line initial G in plain green on folio 1v; 2- to 4-line initials in plain red in the rest of the manuscript; rubrics in green (only on folio 1v) and red; sentence initials occasionally highlighted in red.
Binding: Modern, nineteenth century. Bound in full paper dyed in green over paper boards. Gold-tooling on spine; title areas are of leather dyed in light brown and onlaid. Marbled endleaves.
Origin: Probably written at the Abbey of Saint-Sulpice-en-Bugey in the last third of the twelfth century, after 1165.

In moderate condition, with edges of parchment leaves fragile and damaged. Some loss of text due to damage on the edges of leaves and because of corroded green ink on the first folio. Editorial annotations in pencil and pen by at least two hands. The manuscript probably comes from the library of the Abbey of Saint-Sulpice-en-Bugey near Thézillieu in Ain, France and seems to have stayed in the region until the end of the nineteenth century. From the collection of Edmond Révérend du Mesnil: two of his bookplates of different sizes pasted on front and back pastedowns, which both read: "Deo reverandus et legi / Bibliothèque de M.
