MS C278 contains loose continuous sewing guards in each gathering: the center-folds are supported by approximately 20 mm parchment strips and the spine-folds by approximately 25 to 40 mm parchment strips. These parchment sewing guards, seemingly coming from different but contemporary manuscripts, are all repurposed and contain texts (unidentified).
In good condition despite missing cover. Minor water damage and staining on the fore-edge. Minor bookworm damage on the head- and tail-edges with no loss of text. Deckle edges occasionally visible on the tail-edge. Few contemporary marginal annotations.
