Written in a neat E. Syriac hand with vowels, 21 lines per page, in red and black with occasional rubrics in yellow and simple geometric ornamentation.
The Psalms have the usual headings ascribed to Theodore of Mopsuestia and the qanone (farcings) ascribed to Mar Aba the Catholikos.
Ff.162-3 are partly torn away; ff. 164-5 (containing the colophon) are almost all lost.
In a case, 25 cm.
"Obtained by Messrs. Smith & Dwight from a Nestorian church in the province of Oormia in Persia A.D. 1831" - note in the hand of Eli Smith pasted inside front board.
