According to inscription (fol. 114v), manuscript was intended for publication, and dated 23 July 1540.
Ruled for 1 column of 24 lines; 17.5 x 12.5 cm. justified.
Illuminated borders and historiated initials, illustrating (f. 1) Christ between SS Peter and Paul, layman represented in lower wreath medallion; and (f. 24) St. John the Evangelist writing. Decorated initials throughout text.
In a quarter-leather binding with mottled paper covers and marbled endpapers.
Bookplate of Fernando Palha.
Gift of John B. Stetson, Jr., 1928, in memory of Aleixo de Queiroz Ribeiro de Sotomayor d'Almeida e Vasconcellos, count of Santa Eulalia.
