Autograph, signed; written in black ink with captions in red and initials in red and brown.
13 polyphonic musical examples for tenor and cantus, possibly by Dunstable and Gaffurius, are written on 5-line staves in black ink with red dividing and ending lines.
Cropped at margins, with some loss of text.
Ownership inscription on p. [44]: "Liber p[resby]teri pauli de graecis lauden[sis] e[m]ptus, 1480"; previously owned by Charles William Frederick Hope, 3rd Marquess of Linlithgow.
