- Written in an angular gothic book hand in black ink in one column. Initial letters of verses are alternately gold and blue with pen-work decoration. The verses finish with line-filler ornaments in blue, red and gold.
Initial letters of the Psalms are illuminated in gold and colors. The following are historiated: Pss 1, 26, 38, 51, 52, 68, 80, 97, 101, 109.
The calendar contains a historiated initial and one other miniature for each month.
Bound in 19th-century blind-tooled brown calf.
In a red morocco pull-off case, 25 cm.
Written for the Abbey of Centula, or Saint Riquier, near Abbeyville in northern France. For the evidence from the calendar and litany, see Meyvaert and Huglo.
