The Portuguese text is written in a gothic rotunda book-hand in 2 columns in brown ink, rubrics and page-headlines in red, with highlighting in blue. Many major initial letters are in black with pen-work decoration or historiation. Bound in 19th-century purple grained morocco by William Townsend & Son of Sheffield.
