Written by one scribe in a professional medium-sized round and clear liturgical minuscule with slight inclination to the right. There are many flourishes, some decorated with small crosslets or petals. The writing is in 2 columns in brown ink. The script is typical of mss. from Constantinople in the second half of the 11th century. (Earlier cataloging had dated this ms. to the 13th century.)
Ekphonic notation is in magenta ink.
There are four large headpieces (pp. 1, 97, 405, 433) in gold and colors. The headings of each lection are in gold, and the initial letters in gold or colors.
Bound in early 19th-century tan leather over wooden boards, gilt. The binding is as vol. 2 of a 2-volume set (kept together as MS Gr 7), but MS Gr 7 vol. 1 was originally a different manuscript.
In a tray case, 33 cm.
Purchased by Edward Everett in Constantinople, 1819.
