Written in long lines in a hybrida libraria script with initials and headings in red and capitals stroked in red; in Lower Rhenish Low German and Latin by Brother Rütger of Duisburg, residing near Cologne in 1594 (dated on ff. 2r, 192v). Inscribed in same hand (front pastedown): "Broder Rütger van Düssborch eyn professbroder zo den dongen auff den Neümart by[n]nen Cœllen gehœrt dÿss boick zu A° 94 de[n] 20 meÿ." With codicological notes by Taylor Starck in a separate folder. Bound in contemporary blind-tooled calf and stamped "1594"; with gauffered edges. In a protective tray case, 12 cm. Belonged to an unidentified individual, 1596 (inscription, front pastedown). Gift of Taylor Starck, 1953.
