Written in several unidentified hands in cursive book scripts in brown ink with colored initial, heading and smaller initials stroked in red; written in Germany and dated 1459 (f. 40v) and 1464 (f. 194r) Item 5 is attributed by De Ricci to Bengt Knutsson, bishop of Västerås; now generally attributed to Johannes Jacobi. Title supplied by cataloger. Bound in original white stamped pigskin over wooden boards. In a tray case, 17 cm. Belonged to the monastery of St. Michael at Hildesheim; Rev. Robert Rossiter Hutton; his sale (London, 4 July 1888, n. 304); and Paul Edouard Didier, comte de Riant. Gift of J. Randolph Coolidge and Archibald Cary Coolidge, 1899.
