- Written in a compressed gothic script in 2 columns of 54 lines; 5 historiated initials (ff. 3r, 12v, 19v, 23v, 84r) and numerous large decorated initials and foliate borders in the first half; replaced by conventional pen-work initials in the second half.
Titles derived from explicit (f. 198v) and caption (f. 199r).
Written and illuminated in Germany, possibly at the Carthusian Monastery of St. Barbara in Cologne.
Bound in 19th-cent. three-quarter half red goatskin with marble paper over boards; 15th-cent. embroidery of standing male figure (Albertus Magnus?) attached to inside front pastedown.
In a tray case, 42 cm.
