Written in a semi-quadrata textura script in black ink in France in 18 long lines; one 2-line pale pink initial on burnished gold ground with foliate marginal tendrils on which rests a black-headed bird; smaller 1-line flourished initials in alternating burnished gold and blue; line endings in blue and red.
