- Dated June 1220 "ante Damiettam", i.e. with the army of the Fifth Crusade during the siege of Damietta in Egypt.
The 3 original seals depend from the bottom of the document on slips of vellum. They are: (1) in the center 7.4 cm in diameter, Elinardus, showing an equestrian figure on the obverse and arms (indistinct) on the reverse; (2) on the left 4.8 cm, Guillaume de St. Omer, showing his arms; (3) on the right 6.5 cm, Gillebert de Sotinghem, showing arms with a griffin segreant on obverse and reverse.
With a slip of vellum and fragment of seal, with which the document was probably formerly tied up.
Written in a gothic documentary hand in black ink in long lines.
