Catchwords added after re-margination, lower left verso. Layout: Written in 33 long lines; ruled in blind. Script: Written in naskh in black ink; pointed. 14 replacement folios written in a second hand. Decoration: Illuminated text divider (f. 62v, 125v); illuminated circular medallion (f. 125r), miniature of a couple sitting under a tree (f. 214v); text block outlined in red; rubrics in red. Binding: 18th-century blind-stamped reddish-brown leather remnants laid down on the same color leather over boards; marbled paper pastedowns. Origin: The item is undated, probably copied in Persia in the 14th century. Ownership stamp dated 1186? (1772-1773 CE) with inscription in ink (f. 1r); Persian customs stamp dated 1342 (f. 1r, 352v). Formerly owned by the Hagop Kevorkian Fund; offered for sale at auction at Sotheby's (London) in a sale of property of the Hagop Kevorkian Fund, 2 May 1977, lot 163, unsold. Sold at auction at Sotheby's with other Hagop Kevorkian Fund materials, 27 April 1981, lot 108. Appears in H.P. Kraus's catalog 186 (1991), no. 173. Formerly owned by John D.
