The texts are written in German in various blackletter and German cursive scripts except on ff. 10v-13r, 23r (Latin in blackletter, roman and italic). Written in black ink (except for ff. 12v-13r in red), flourished with gold, on the recto and verso of ff. 1-19 and the rectos only of ff. 20-23. Bound in contemporary dark brown calf over thick bevelled boards, tooled in blind (a central tool on top and bottom boards has been erased) with brass corners and the remnants of 4 brass catches. Purchased with the Philip Hofer Charitable Trust fund and the Bayard Livingston and Kate Gray Kilgour fund, 2006.
