- Date from colophon (ff. 166v-167r), which also gives the scribe's name as Daniel and the place of writing the monastery of Rabban Hormuzd near Alqosh.
The ms. has 14 quires and is complete at beginning and end, but leaves are missing after ff. 10, 20, 30, 78, 88. The leaves are all more or less stained and some are loose.
The contents are identical with British Library MS Egerton 681, written by the same scribe.
Two fragments of leaves from liturgical mss. are inserted before f. 1. (One is adhering to f. 1.)
Written in a bold and elegant estrangela in red and black. Words are supplied with vowel-points and marks of cantillation. The text is in two columns, 19 lines per column.
Bound in oriental full leather with blind stamping on front and back. The leather has perished over the spine exposing a cloth lining to which the headbands are sewn.
In a tray case, 39 cm.
Purchased by the Harvard Semitic Museum from J. H. Shedd in 1890 (accession no. 2).
Semitic Museum deposit, ca. 1959. - Keyword:
