- Extent: 87 leaves, bound : vellum ; 12 cm.
- Note:
- Written in a fine small serto hand with some estrangela features (g q š especially), in black ink with some headlines and other small ornaments in red, 16 lines per page.
There are occasional marginal glosses in Greek in a neat uncial hand.
Date from colophon (photograph in Goshen-Gottstein, 149), restoring TLT Mʼʼ where a different word has been written over a rasura. The Patriarch "Athanasius" named there will be Athanasius Ṣalḥaya (986-1004) and the bishop "Isaac" will be Isaac of Callisura ordained by him.
Binding of full leather over wooden boards, with a flap. Velvet is pasted over the spine. The front and back boards are covered with plates of silvered brass, with repoussé images of Christ on the cross (back) and the Virgin and child with angels (front). The front image has an inscribed caption in Syriac script (but perhaps in Turkish).
In a tray case, 15 cm.
Formerly in the collection of J. Rendel Harris, his number "Cod. Syr. 115" being written on f. 2r. Purchased by the Harvard Semitic Museum in 1905 (accession no. 4050).
