Written in England in the second half of the fifteenth century.
Parchment; ff. ii + 38 + ii leaves: 1-48, 56 (lacking a gathering, likely of 8 leaves, after f. 8). Layout: 1-48 56. 33 lines in brown to black ink in an Anglicana hand. Catchwords in the lower right on the verso of the last leaf of the gathering. Running title on f. 33r.
Two- and three line initials, some with penwork flourishing. Paraphs and side-notes in red.
Marginal annotations and emphasis marks, some trimmed, mainly in first third of work. Ownership inscription by Leveriche Forster dated 1555 on f. 38v. Numerous other 16th century signatures, such as John Almon of Puckeridge, Oxford on f. 38, John Athoine on ff. 1, 8 and 13, John Offlye on ff. 9, 11, and 12, and Robert Abraham on f. 15v.
